Signature Classes at Pilates North Richmond Hill

The movements in all of our Signature classes are inspired by our approach to fitness. Attention to form, small group sizes and thoughtful choreography which is designed to work the entire body. We can’t help but keep a balance between stretching and strengthening but in these classes there is more emphasis on active stretching and resistance training.

Our Signature classes are open to all fitness levels. As long as you are injury free you are welcome to attend. These are challenging classes are meant to fatigue your muscles and focus on larger movements that involve higher reps and more cardio than our more traditional Pilates Classes. So expect to “feel a burn” and to be sore. After all, we are working muscles in a way that is different than you may be used to, and the movements will feel better with time.

Learning anything new is always a bit of a challenge. These classes are visually cued and have a consistent programming so that after 4 classes, clients will have enough experience to evaluate how the exercise works with their bodies and if the programming makes sense for them.

When you arrive at the studio, you will be asked to fill out a small information form. We will show you around and where your class is. Most people like to bring a water bottle and towel to these classes as they do inspire sweat! You are welcome to bring running shoes but we prefer if you workout in bare feet or socks as it requires more work 8 ) There are change rooms at the studio if you require.

After the 6 week trial you will be offered the chance to continue in the same time slot, or be given options of other classes that are available, should you wish to continue on in the class. We always hope new clients will enjoy the classes and we will do our best to accommodate, should you find the studio and programming works for you.


Late Registration
These Trial classes are only 4 or 6 weeks long. As such we will not accept late registration but know that we do try to offer trial sessions every 4 weeks so this will give you another opportunity to join.

Missed Classes
Sorry there are no makeup classes for the trial classes. Our full session registrations do have makeup classes available, but those makeup classes are reserved for those who have enrolled in our full 8 week programs.

Trial class cancellations received at least 4 working days prior to the class start date will receive a refund less $25.00 administration fee. Cancellations after this point will be charged in full.

Clothing, etc.
Wear comfortable clothes such as T-shirts with long shorts, bike shorts, tights or leggings. Clients should be barefoot or socks in class. We have changing rooms available. In consideration of other clients we ask that you refrain from wearing heavy perfumes. Cell phones and pagers must be turned off and left outside the studios. No cameras, video/tape recorders are permitted.

Weather/Emergency Cancellations
If classes are canceled due to inclement weather or other emergencies, there will be a general message on the main line at least two hours before the class is scheduled to begin. Should a trial class be cancelled due to weather we will provide a make up class.

The Studio recognizes all statutory holidays. No classes will be held on these days, unless specifically announced.

Injuries/Physical Limitations
We are here to help our clients feel better. In order to do this, we require full disclosure on previous/current injuries or illness. Understanding why you have come to us and how you are feeling will help our trainers provide you with more effective instruction and advice. Undisclosed physical limitations or medical conditions could result in removal from the class without refund. While pregnancy is a wonderful time, Pilates classes would not be suitable for most women past their second trimester. If you are pregnant or are planning on becoming pregnant give us a call before you register for classes. We can have a discussion on what forms of training are available.

Reception Hours
We are staffed in our reception area during the following hours:
Monday–Thursday 9am-1:pm and 5:45pm-8:15pm;
Friday-Sunday 9am-12pm; (Special hours held for workshops)
