We use the foam roller for the massage-like effects it can produce (Self Myofascial Release or SMR). The deep tissue massage from the direct pressure of rolling over these trigger points can also help break down fibrous scar tissue that an build up in injured or tight muscles. This deep massage will increase the flexibility and pliability of the tissue being rolled, and may also result in a localized increase in blood flow that will help to flush excess metabolites and toxins from the area.
Do you like to stretch but feel like you just can’t get deep enough? For half of the price of a massage, we will teach you how to use the small balls to relieve tension on your own. You will leave with some great stretches and a ball that you can use anytime! We use the small ball to apply slow and sometimes deep pressure directly on a body part to restore and release the fascia. This direct pressure relaxes contracted muscles, improves blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulates the stretching of the targeted muscles. This technique focuses on relaxing the deep tissues of your body to provide a long lasting effect.
