Covid19 Classes

A New Way to Practice Pilates

Our clients are loyal, and so are we.  During Covid we have quickly shifted our classes online. There has been an amazing response and we have been busy teaching ever since.  It has been almost a year and we are still going strong!!!

Intermediate Pilates
This 50 minute class will vary week to week.  It will combine challenging variations to our foundational exercises and incorporate new exercises.  General corrections will be made however clients should be aware of their own limitations and be prepared to modify themselves if necessary.

What you need: Mat • Small Pillow • Foam Roller optional
Who should attend:  All clients who are currently working at an intermediate level and have no serious back or wrist injuries.

CoreBall
This 45 minute class is jam packed with exercises designed to target your core musculature and improves proprioception. The big ball allows for full range of motion of the spine and places a large focus on eccentric strengthening.

What you need: 65cm Ball • Wall space (free from obstruction) • Mat
Who should attend: All clients who are currently registered in a Core Ball class or any client who has been doing Pilates for at least 6 months that have no balance issues.

PN FLOW
Prepare to flex, extend and rotate into shape with our signature Pilates Flow class.  Aimed at clients with no wrist issues who are looking for a new way to cordinate their Pilates bodies into challenging sequences that require strength, balance and flexibility.  There is less verbal cuing and sections that will “flow” one exercise to the next.

What you need: Mat • Small Pillow or Rolled up Towel
Who should attend: All clients who are currently registered in an intermediate Pilates Class or any client who has been doing Pilates for at least 6 months that have no wrist or lower back issues.

Band Workout
If you are missing the reformer this class may be for you.  The Thera-band is a great prop to simulate the springs of the reformer.  The class will incorporate familiar reformer exercises (minus the reformer of course)  although not the same it will give you a feeling of having resistance with movement and allows for some great stretching.  All you need is a Band and a Mat : )

What you need: Thera Band (5ft)• Mat
Who should attend: All clients who are currently registered in an intermediate Pilates Class or any client who has been doing Pilates for at least 6 months that have no wrist or lower back issues.

PN Stretch
This 55 minute class will combine passive and active stretches. The pace will be slower and be prepared that some stretches will be held for long periods.  If you have always wanted to improve or restore your joint mobility this class is for you.

What you need: Foam Roller • Mat • Small Pillow
Who should attend: Everyone welcome!

Zooming!

Our online classes are offered through Zoom.  When clients register online for a class they will be sent a link 48 hours prior to the class start time.  Instructions are provided with the confirmation emailers.

The beauty of Zoom is that we can see clients (who want to be seen) and continue teaching in a way our clients are used to.  Verbal cuing and correction.  Clients are taught with the same care and precision as “in studio” classes.  The instructors are familiar and so are the clients, it’s a great way to reconnect if you have moved away from the studio or if you have just taken a break.  We have had many requests from past clients to join in!

To book your own group simply  fill out the request form below.
