Why Should I Participate?
Becoming part of our walking groups will be a fun way to add more cardiovascular fitness to your week while integrating the core principles of Pilates to a functional movement such as walking. The groups will allow you to interact with like-minded people while supporting a great cause!
Do I have to Walk with MBT’s?
Absolutely not. There are so many benefits to walking. A normal pair of running/walking shoes is fine. The MBT’s simply provide more challenge to the walk. Some people may prefer to “work up” to the MBT’s.
How Often Should I Walk?
We encourage you to walk between 2 and 3 times per week. Either with our guided walks or on your own!
What Should I Bring?
Dress in layers so you may remove a layer as you warm up while walking, and put it back on if you feel cool.
Socks should be comfortable, and the modern running socks made from CoolMax or other high-tech fibers are preferable to cotton, as they prevent blisters by keeping the feet drier. A hat, sungalsses and sunscreen to prevent sun exposure.
