At Pilates North we incorporate the following apparatus into our group classes and private training: Balls, Fitness Circles, Foam Rollers, Thera-bands, Core conditioning equipment such as Reformers, Chairs, Cadillacs and Barrels. Pilates 'fanatics' will tell you that the best ab work comes from the matwork. This is true. Our group classes focus on mat work at the introductory, essential and intermediate levels. Smaller equipment is used during these classes as well, to help add variety and to enhance the Pilates exercises being taught. When clients progress to an intermediate level we incorporate chairwork and they have an option of joining group reformer classes. For clients taking privates lessons and working specifically on rehabilitation, sports specific training or improving "problem areas" the equipment can be used to provide additional exercises. |
