About Ki-Hara Ki-Hara Resistance Stretching is a comprehensive and innovative approach to flexibility training. Developed by Steve Sierra and Anne Tierney of Innovative Body Solutions, the method has become an important tool for trainers/body workers who are looking to increase their clients performance and health. Ki-hara methodology can be applied to any body in any condition. It allows trainers to teach their clients to contract their muscles as they are lengthened through self and assisted stretches. The movements take tension and torque out of the muscles and joints. The results are more powerful, explosive movements, protection from overstretching and effectively addressing muscle imbalances, which are at the root of most injuries. This method has been embraced and used by the worlds top athletes such as Dara Torres (6 time Olympian), Hayley Wickenheiser (Women’s Ice Hockey), Nastia Liukin (US Gymnast), Jayson Werth (MLB) Mike Zigomanis (NHL), Tania Jones (Marathon Runner) Christina Gao (US figure skater) Lisa Schklar, Director of Pilates North has been working with Anne and Steve for over 4 years.
